Massage is my passion. I like to receive massage therapy from fellow RMTs and I always feel better after treatment. This makes me believe that massage therapy can benefit everybody to help maintain their body. I am always happy to work with people to help them achieve their goals. All my past experience with massage and previous work as a caregiver helps to guide me in the massage
profession.
With my practice, I do a full assessment to create the perfect treatment plan to help my patients achieve their goals. I see my role as assisting my patients to find their potential, whether by improving function, decreasing pain, or reducing stress. I love the career that I have chosen and always try to do my best to support my patients’ needs.
I decided to pursue massage therapy after working as a community health worker. I enjoy learning and have always had an interest in the human body and how the various parts of the body work together.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking care of animals and traveling with my family. I love to watch soccer games and care for my family.

Kevin graduated from the massage therapy program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University.
Kevin grew up playing a variety of sports growing up but mainly focused on playing football. Playing sports inspired him to obtain a kinesiology degree at Simon Fraser University. While doing his undergraduate studies, he spent time as an apprentice strength and conditioning coach, where he worked with NCAA-level athletes across various sports. Having this experience working with dedicated student-athletes fostered his love for educating and rehabilitation across all walks of life. This led him to pursue further education to become an RMT.
His treatment style includes a variety of modalities such as Swedish massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, dynamic release, PNF stretching and joint mobilizations, in conjunction with movement.
Outside the clinic, you can expect Kevin trying to run fast, jump high, and lift heavy, all while fantastically failing to do so. He enjoys sampling new craft beers from local breweries and trying wines from different regions. Don’t be afraid to send him some recommendations to try!

In my formative years, my frail grandmother influenced me, sparking a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those grappling with pain and discomfort. This propelled me toward Physiotherapy, where the diverse range of clients and healthcare settings captivated my interest. What truly captivates me is the theory and intention behind every decision within a treatment plan.
I believe in a client-centered and holistic approach to care. I engage clients, empowering them to play an active role in their well-being. Collaboration to tailor treatments to unique needs and preferences forms the essence of my practice. I also emphasize incorporating other healthcare disciplines when necessary and providing clients with exercises tailored to their specific needs. Empathy is at the forefront of my interactions, respecting the diverse preferences and contexts of my clients.
My assessments always commence with a conversation, allowing clients to share their stories and contexts. I listen intently, asking probing questions to comprehensively understand how best to support each individual. Understanding the client’s goals is paramount, directly informing my proposed treatment. Physical examinations, guided movements, and hands-on components constitute my thorough assessment process. At the session’s conclusion, I provide a personalized Plan of Care, reviewing my findings, educating clients about their condition, and proposing suitable Physiotherapy treatments.
While I find joy in treating a variety of conditions, my passion lies in working with clients facing neurological challenges such as concussion, stroke, Parkinson’s, and MS. One of the career highlights for me was assisting a client with Ataxia in taking three independent steps—an accomplishment that brought immense joy to both the client and myself.

I have always been exposed to exercise even at a young age, joining swimming competitions one after the other gave me the opportunity to understand my own physical demands and limitations. With that in mind, the idea of rehabilitation has led me towards the path of physiotherapy where I can assist others in understanding their own capabilities and improving themselves through exercise despite injuries and pain.
I am mostly a “home-body” but I always find time to work out at the gym or jog around the neighborhood and nearby parks.

Naturopathic medicine is a natural method of healthcare that focuses on the whole person. My goal is to treat the cause of illness rather than simply treating the symptoms and to educate patients on how to maintain a lifetime of good health. My aim is to listen to and collaborate with my patients to create a safe and effective personalized health program to treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions. I have a general family practice with a special interest in treating women’s health issues, pediatrics, digestive concerns, type 2 diabetes, fatigue, allergies, and weight loss. I am licensed to prescribe most pharmaceutical medications when needed, such as bio-identical hormones, antibiotics, antidepressants, thyroid medications etc, however, my approach to pharmaceutical medications is to use them sparingly, and only when natural approaches have not worked to the patient or doctor’s satisfaction.
I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto in 1999. I am a member of the BCNA, (British Columbia Naturopathic Association) and the CAND (Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors) and am certified in Chelation, Pharmaceutical Prescribing, Intravenous Therapies, and Acupuncture. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alex started out as a Martial Arts athlete. With a serious injury in the knee during his teens, he went to see numerous doctors but it did not help until he went to an acupuncturist. And it worked!
He was fascinated by the Art of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Thus leading him to complete his studies in Acupuncture, Tuina Massage, Cupping Therapy, and Herbal Medicine.
Alex is also a Tai Chi and Qi Gong (Energy Works) instructor. By combining Acupuncture and Qi Gong, he brings in the essence of acupuncture treatment – the healing of one’s energy. He views the body from a holistic approach and helps patients regain balance in their body-mind-environment in order to achieve optimal health. One core principle of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is to help people ‘prevent the disease before its onset’ by analyzing and forecasting potential diseases that could happen in the future.

Many years of training and involving with sports has given me a wisdom and insight that can only come with experience. I gradually realized that massage– as an ancient manual therapy, is such an efficient tool for maintaining and improving people’s health. Besides, formal school training makes me understand better why massage really matters for injury recovery. In my practice, I am always trying to combine what I learned from western massage essence, with Chinese massage wisdom such as whole-body balance principle, to help my clients get better. I practice Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point, lymphatic drainage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, muscle energy, joint mobilizations, passive & active muscle stretching, hydro therapy and deep tissue therapy.

I’ve always been passionate about helping others and found that it truly brings me joy! It wasn’t until I recovered from a motor vehicle accident that I wanted to pursue massage therapy. It gave me first hand experience in both the physical and mental stresses that can affect the body. Being an RMT gives me the opportunity to help others who are going through what I went through. Whether a patient is dealing with pain, tension, or stress; I’m ready to give the highest quality of care in my treatments to meet their goals.
During my free time I love to play volleyball, snowboard, hike and lift weights. Working out is what peaked my interest in learning about nutrition, how muscles grow, get stronger and recover. It led me to competing in my first bodybuilding show, in which I placed 4th in! Aside from my active lifestyle, I love eating, trying new restaurants and traveling to new countries (to eat).

Hi, My name is Tanya and I am obsessed with helping people to achieve a healthy, strong and beautiful body, along with better mental health and well-being.
My journey as a massage therapist began many years ago when I was 20 years old. Back then I suffered from daily headaches, fatigue, and I wasn’t confident with my body appearance. I realized that our body is a very sophisticated and complicated mechanism and I need to understand how it works in order to maintain health and well-being. My first step was learning the essential oils and aromatherapy. It helped me a lot with stress management, anxiety, and sleep disorders, and improved my skin condition. However, I never planned to use this knowledge to help other people until I moved to Canada in 2016.
I decided to continue my journey in aromatherapy and enrolled in a 1-year aromatherapy program at Langara college. There I learned a relaxation massage as a method of application of essential oils. Only after that, did I realize that I have a desire to share my knowledge and help other people. I worked as a bodyworker for 2 years performing facial massages, full body relaxation massages, and reflexology. During this course of time, I continued improving my knowledge and skills in massage learning from other massage therapists and taking additional courses in different kinds of massage.
Currently, my goal is to continue working with athletes, sportsmen, and other people with traumas or injuries after MVA or other kinds of conditions. Currently, I can treat people with sprains/strains, bursitis, tendonitis or other types of overuse injuries, and people suffering from tension headaches related to postural imbalances or muscle tension after an intense workout. In a few months, I will be able to work with pregnant women, helping them with edema, or muscle stiffness related to pregnancy.
My philosophy is to constantly obtain new knowledge and improve my massage skills in order to become an expert in massage therapy.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I loved playing basketball and volleyball growing up. This made me pursue my degree in Kinesiology at UBC. While in school, I really enjoyed working out and learning about strength training and bodybuilding which made me choose a career in personal training. As a trainer in a corporate setting, I realized that many people loved to be active but had a sedentary lifestyle at work in which their body (especially neck and back) suffered. I decided to learn more about the human body by getting my diploma in massage therapy at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.
I believe massage is a great tool to help relieve stress and also help those who are in pain to get back to doing things they love.
My treatment style is a blend of relaxation, Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, strengthening and stretching. Every client is different and listening to what each person needs is very important to me.

I joined the Total Therapy team in 2006. I enjoy working here because I firmly believe in the multi-modal approach to healthcare. It takes “a village” to support a person through injury recovery or to give a person a platform for greater well-being.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, then took a year off to travel. I then went to McMaster to get my Master’s in Physiotherapy in 2003.
My approach to my treatment sessions is first and foremost to get to know my client and their priorities for recovery. I strongly believe that all aspects of a person must be aligned for the best results. It’s never “just a shoulder” or “just a neck”. A patient’s history of injury, sports, interests and lifestyle can explain a lot about their condition and their present health issues.
I practice manual therapy techniques and am certified to deliver acupuncture. I also speak French, though I wouldn’t be bold enough to say I’m bilingual!
I love being a member of the team that gets a client where they want to be, or better yet, an even healthier version than they imagined for themselves.
My interests include any outdoor activity, traveling, reading, playing music and eating delicious foods with my family and friends!

My approach to therapy is trauma informed, evidence and strength based. My goal is to help equip clients with skills that help them get unstuck and collaboratively guide them on a path of living within their values to become the person they want to be.
My work as a therapist is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
A first counselling session with me is a good time for clients to share what brought them to therapy. Clients will explore some of their expectations and will work collaboratively with me to create some goals. It is my objective to create a validating compassionate environment where clients feel seen and heard. An initial session is also a great time for clients to ask me any questions or talk about any concerns they may have.
I enjoy when clients start making connections the most. When they become aware of how they think/behave and connect it with other areas. This process can be very enlightening for many people, and disrupts the automatic patterns that we sometimes have.

Interestingly Anthony began his career in the banking industry, but after 10 years he was ready to make a change! What compelled him to pursue a career as an RMT? During the pandemic, like many others, Anthony took time to reflect on what was important. As he reflected, he realized just how important one’s health truly is and that minimizing pain and stress is critical in living a healthy lifestyle. Anthony saw a career as an RMT as a means to positively impact the lives of others by helping to reduce their pain/discomfort, manage their stress and, ultimately, live their best lives.
Registered Massage Session with Anthony….
Anthony loves the investigative process and the art of merging his assessment findings with your goals to develop a plan that best addresses your primary complaints.
Furthermore, he has a genuine passion for working with the older adult population, emphasizing maintaining and building function to ensure the ongoing enjoyment of all that life has to offer! He loves to treat patients who might be recovering athletes or anyone that is just looking for a day to day relaxation massage.

My journey from National Team Athlete and Olympic Coach to now has provided me a unique understanding of the body’s potential. I see massage therapy as the bridge between healing and peak performance.
I was fortunate to spend 7 years representing Team Canada in the sport of Skeleton (going down an iced water slide on a glorified lunch-tray at speeds over 140 km/hr). Over the last 17 years as an athlete, coach, and trainer, I’ve been immersed in the world of human anatomy, physiology, performance, and injury.
After retiring from sport I began my education journey on the path toward Physiotherapy but found myself wanting a more hands-on approach, one where I could spend more time with my clients. That happily led me to the world of massage therapy.
I’ve worked with individuals of all ages and levels of athleticism, from teens to Olympians. What sets my practice apart is my integrated approach. I see the body as an interconnected system with many factors affecting our ability to function. So I keep my goal as simple as possible: to help you feel as good and happy as possible, so you can do more of what you love.
When I’m not massaging you can find me taking photos, playing board games, playing vintage video games (NES/SNES/N64 loyal), and being in Vancouver I have to get outside and hike and walk in nature as much as possible.
My journey from National Team Athlete and Olympic Coach to now has provided me a unique understan...
